At the heart of everything we do here at St Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Junior School, is an understanding that we are all a part of God’s family, called to love and serve Him, by loving and serving each other, just as He taught us.
The St Mary Magdalen’s family is inclusive of all. We encourage all children and staff to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, by following the Gospel values, as evangelists and disciples of our Lord.
God is present in all that we do, in our work and in our play and this is reflected in our motto, ‘Growing in God’s love’ and in our values of Love, Excellence, Teamwork, Determination and Respect.
As a Catholic community, we have very close links with our local parish, St Mary Magdalen’s, often celebrating Masses together, supporting parish activities and playing a full life in our local community. This enables us to put our faith into practice, whilst enriching the lives of others as well as ourselves.
We are proud of our Catholic faith and know that each day, we strive to bring ourselves closer to God, by living in harmony with others, caring for His creation and loving one another.
We thank you Lord for our school and for all those who work in it.
We pray Lord, that you may be at the very centre of St Mary Magdalen’s Junior School.
With your love –
- - We can care for each other and our cultures,
- - Explore the world through our learning,
- - Discover and develop our talents,
- - Inspire each other in work and play and
- - Challenge ourselves to do better.
Together we can do great things! Amen.
Children's Mental Health Week 1st - 7th February 2021
This week is Children's Mental Health Week and the theme is Express Yourself. Just like we look after our physical health, we also need to look after our mental health, our minds. This special time of prayer will help us to think of ways to care for our mental health and how God can help us too:
